Nice museum. Well organized. Interesting collection. Have a good dose of Texas flavor. Staff is very helpful. The number of guards is amazing.

Amon Carter is a well laid out museum with easy access, ample parking, elevators and a beautiful lawn for picnics! If you are looking for a free outing in an air conditioned environment, this is a pleasant experience. We enjoyed the sculptures as well.

This wonderful museum is often overshadowed by its neighbor, the Kimbell Art Museum, and the newer Museum of Modern Art, yet in some ways I like it better. It began as the home for the western art collection of the Amon Carter family, and it contains many iconic Remington and Russell paintings, drawings and bronzes along with other western artists including Bierstadt, Church and others. However, after several additions over the years, it became a showcase for world-class photography from its own and travelling collections, as well as a variety of other superb touring collections. To top it off, it has free admission every day. Do not miss this museum.

If you love Russell and Remington, this is a must see. Beautifully executed and maintained, the collection was built initially around Mr. Carter's western art collection. It has since evolved to celebrate American art and is definitely worth the trip if you're in the Fort Worth area.
