My daughter was married in the wine cellar of the Ashton. It seats about 30. Very intimate setting. Dim lighting, votive candles in with the wine bottles. Just beautiful. We had the reception in the Winfield Scott Ballroom. The large windows overlook the trees on Fort Worth's Main street. The staff is wonderful. They offer a very personal service. Took the gifts to the couple's hotel room. Accomodated every request that we had. I highly recommend them for your wedding needs.

Charming hotel in downtown Fort Worth. I am a sucker for historic and boutique hotels and The Ashton didn't disappoint. The furnishings were nice. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was gorgeous. They managed to update but kept the historic charm. The most surprising thing was how quite it was. We stayed on the 6th floor corner room on a Saturday night and simply were stunned how quite the room was. The staff was exceptional at all times. The turndown service was nice and the homemade chocolate chip cookies on our pillow were excellent. We will be back!

We had a great experience at The Ashton Hotel in Ft Worth. My son got married this past weekend to a girl from Fort Worth. Since all of our family is from out of town, I wanted a place for family and friends to stay that was not only in the heart of downtown but also beautiful, accommodating and delivered good service to its guests. They did all of that. I needed help in coordinating several services such as shuttle buses and needed a discounted group rate. Cindy Vasquez, the hotel conference sales manager, was not only accommodating, but very helpful and knowledgeable. All of the staff were friendly, polite and helpful. I recommend this hotel and am grateful for the fun weekend all 24 of us had!

Rudest, ugliest hotel manager at a 4 diamond hotel I've ever been to!!!! Shocking actually....all because I asked her where delivers pizza.... Unbelievable!!! Do not stay at this hotel!!! The worst ever. I've stayed here before and I can assure you after the way that Victoria (the night manager) treated my friends and I , we won't be back!!!!

Charming boutique hotel in downtown Ft Worth. Close to all the nice restaurants and major businesses. A little worn, but room amenities compensate for its age. A nice touch are the delicious chocolate chip cookies at turndown. Very quiet which is great for light sleepers..

Room Tip: ask for corner room

Thank you for taking time to let us know about your recent stay with us. I am happy to hear that our signature turn-down cookies were appreciated. One of the advantages of an historic property are that the walls are very thick. This makes for a very sound sleep.

My son and future daughter-in-law booked the Presidental Suite for 2 nights this passed weekend because they were getting married at the Marty Leonard Chapel, and then the reception was held at the David McDavid room at the Maddux Muse building in downtown Fort Worth. The first night, the bride and bridesmaids stayed the night, and the next day, all of the girls and family, would have their hair and make-up done in the suite. And then the 2nd night the bride and groom would spend a couple of hours before they left on their honeymoon. When we booked with this hotel, they told us that the valet parking would be complimentary for everyone staying and coming in the next day to get hair and make-up done for the wedding and since they booked the Presidential Suite. However, when we checked in, we were told they will need to charge each person staying the night a $20 parking fee, and the family coming in to have hair and make-up done a $15 fee. At least they didn't raise the room rate too! All of the hotels were sold out this weekend for the Texas/OU football game and we feel they were price gouging because of this. Next time we will make sure to get something in writing, but it will not be at this hotel!!! Also, the front desk and room service was not friendly at all. This hotel is beautiful and historic, but they really need to work on their customer service!

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I am very sorry you feel we were price gouging your family members. It sounds more like a failure to communicate on our part. We only have a limited amount of parking space here in downtown. We charge $20 for overnight valet and $15 for daily parking every day of the year. Because of the limited amount of parking we have we cannot afford to park visitors free of charge. I again want to apologize for not communicating that more effectively before your family arrived.

On the whole, our experience during our weekend here last week was pretty good. First the good: The service in the hotel is excellent (attentive without being intrusive). The entire building is very clean. The location could not be better. The bed is very comfortable. The bathrooms are spacious and quite beautiful. Now the bad: The service in the restaurant is awful, the food is mediocre, and it is way overpriced. The rooms are not very well furnished, particularly the desk, which managed to be both impractical and ugly, and the soft chair, which was so old it had lost all support. Parking is $20 plus tax a night (seriously?). Turn down service came in, left cookies and 2 bottles of water on the desk the first night we were there, then on my bill I noticed we were charged $7.50 for the water! Despite the excellent hotel service, we will not be back.

Thank you for your feedback. We strive to exceed our guests expectations and it is very disappointing to all of us here at the Ashton when we fall short. We appreciate the positive comments about our service and cleanliness. We will take your comments on what we need to improve on very seriously. We appreciate your opinions so we can use them to improve.
