“Use of Scott Room for Bridal Luncheon”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

This room is absolutely gorgeous! The beautiful wall of windows in the Scott Room on the second floor overlooks Sundance Square equipped with plantation shutters. The foyer hosts a beautiful bar. This is an excellent space for a party and appears to be a well kept secret in Fort Worth! The food was excellent, we had the "Fort Worth Omelet" The staff was amazing. Would use this facility again in a heartbeat! Love the Ashton ambiance!

Beautiful old hotel in downtown Fort Worth. Fort Worth is a bit sleepy, but if you plan on staying here this is a great spot to stay. The hotel is beautiful with large rooms and HUGE bathrooms (true to TX, I suppose) and is well appointed, clean and well taken care of.

Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I had a corner room on the 3rd floor, with floor to ceiling windows on each outside wall. The bathroom was large and had a great glass shower with a separate soak-er tub. There was a minibar available, and free wifi included with the room rate.
The location of the hotel was great. Right in downtown Fort Worth, lots of restaurants nearby. I was there on a weeknight and it seemed like a business travelers spot, but I could certainly see the rooms being great for a romantic night or weekend.
The staff was very accommodating and friendly. My favorite part - they still use REAL room keys! As in an actual Key, on a key chain! Now that is charming...

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room, you're away from the elevator and have floor to ceiling windows on two si...

Highlight - Location and reasonably priced breakfast
Disappointment - view and day time noise between rooms - not in line with the expense of the reservation.

We selected this hotel as it was central to all we wished to do while in Ft. Worth. Walking distance to Sundance Square and the Bass, only 4 miles from the Stockyards. Check in was easy and nice, all the staff were exceptionally courteous and friendly. We went to our room and as I fiddled with the key (yes, an actual key!) at the double doors, I was filled with anticipation. Why is it double doors cue an expectation you are about to see something exceptional? I opened the door to find a shallow room with an exceptional view of a fire escape, some a/c units and the building next door. Oh well, no biggie. As we settled in we suddenly heard the guests in the neighboring room clear as day. This was disturbing but proved to be a non-issue as I believe they went to bed long before we did. The bed was fair, better than most but not exceptional. I would try another hotel in the area next time we go.

Room Tip: If you want a room with a view ask for it.

We appreciate you sharing the details of your stay. While it sounds like the majority of your stay was a positive one the fact we did not meet your expectations, we find very disappointing. We have many other rooms here that I believe you would find more to your liking. We would love for you to stay with us again and I am sure we would be able to exceed your expectations. Please feel free to contact me at 817-333-0323 if you plan to return to the downtown Ft. Worth area again.

Love the whole experience. From moment you drive up and are greeted by valets ready to take your car and luggage. Lovely bar/small restaurant on lobby floor, seating area in lobby, super friendly staff throughout.
Rooms are very nicely appointed, large bath in our Kind bedroom, drinks are generously poured at bar, breakfast next morning lovely.
After the musical Jersey Boys, we came back to hotel after the bar was closed...no problem they tell us, go into the small library room, where drinks are brought to us. All in all, a lovely night out.
One dim spot about the evening, very hot in room, could not turn air down enough to get it cool for sleeping.

I had my wedding here on May 24. Everything was perfect. Cindy the coordinator is sooo nice and did everything she could to make our special day great. We stay in the presidential suite that night and it was beautiful. They hotel was nice enough to let us check in very early on that day so we could use the room to get ready for the wedding. They were very accommodating. The valet parking is a bit pricey but other than that this venue work out perfect. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

My husband and I love to stay in Historic Hotels and the Ashton is one of the best . We were pleased to be able to visit the hotel during the April Main Street Arts Festival and have also stayed at this hotel in past years when we are in the area. Despite all the chaos on the street and I am sure the added stress to the hotel staff, our visit was a delight. Upon entering the hotel there is an immediate sense of calm and order. The staff was very gracious and immediately greeted us upon entering the hotel. The lobby was beautiful, very clean and the furnishings are tasteful and comfortable. Our room was large and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable and above all the room was very quiet even with neighbors all the way around us. Our room and bath were immaculate and the staff was very professional. We will be back to stay here again. The location of the hotel is perfect with proximity to Sundance Square, Bass Performance Hall, museums and wonderful restaurants. The Ashton was everything we expect in a historic boutique hotel.
