This must be one of best modern art museums of modern art that I have visited for many tears, The building and grounds are a work of art too with large glass panes, large and smooth concrete blocks and a water feature where the ripples supply a living art feature. There are many works from many artists throughout the 20th century and some are so simple to produce that only a great artist can bring to life. There are moving vision displays, films, sculptures and many paintings displayed in large rooms- from Pollock to Picasso and Hockney to Rothko; many will leave you in awe.
When I arrived the receptionist asked if I was in the military, on responding that I was in the Uk military forces, my partner and I were given free entry, this would not happen in the UK. The experience was fantastic, children in their mid- school years would benefit in visiting the museum and give them a good grounding into modern art.
Thank you very much for a great experience.
On Fridays the restaurant is open until 10pm and would make a great ending to a visit.
