Country Inn is a circa 1950/60 motel renovated & updated to today's standards. We were very pleased with the condition of the room & the grounds; I think my photos will speak for themselves & we would recomment the Country Inn to friends. FYI the "Cabins" are remote from the "Inn", we visited them on our last visit & would recommend them for a family or reunion event. Although located just outside of town we liked that fact, it is about two miles west of the town center. A swimming pool is located on the property, as for kids activity I did not see, use or ask about these services.

Room Tip: If you want to be just outside of downtown, this is the place for you. Motel is located near a majo...

I gave this 5 stars for being very good in a category that might be called Inexpensive or No Frills Motel. I have stayed in the Cottages which are outside of town but they were already taken. The Inn is totally different. I knew from picking up the cottage key that the Inn location was an old tourist court that had been updated with a western look. There are several things that you should know before choosing this place. The room size is adequate for the double beds in our room and the beds are reasonably comfortable. (requirement for us) The bathroom is tiny and only has a shower. There is a desk with a big mirror and lamp that could be used for makeup while the other person shaves. (no problem for us) The TV is HD and there is a good choice of cable channels but it is housed in a piece of furniture that is small so the TV is small. (minor problem for us) There is free wifi that has good speed. (plus for us). There is road noise but each room has an individual unit that has a loud fan. We heard no noise from other rooms and the fan masked the road noise. (plus for us) Breakfast is only weekends and is coffee and packaged sweets. If you like little powdered sugar donuts this might a plus. The price is almost half lower than even the chain hotels. (plus for us) While I love the Cottages outside of town, we were gone from the room all day sightseeing and were only there a very short while not asleep. during a 3 day weekend. I was happy with my choice and the negatives were minor to me. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: The rooms further from the road may be quieter.

Loved the peace and quite. The wild live was very enjoyable
and then if we did want to go into town for shopping, dinning etc,
it was just a short distance away. We also enjoy biking and the near by bike shop
has great information and maps for those of us that enjoying doing this. The bike roads
are fun and doable. All of the people we met and talked with at the cottages were
enjoyable to be around and very helpful. We are already planning our next stay at the
Country Inn Cottages.

We loved sitting out on the front porch during the cool, crisp mornings, drinking coffee and watching the deer come almost within reach. The design of the cottage was rustic, but with all of the modern conveniences and when we wanted to go shopping it was just a few minutes into town. We'll be back!

Room Tip: We had the very last cottage, #29, a two bedroom one with nothing but woods to the left of us. It g...

We have stayed here several times and already have reservations for Christmas. The cottage is so unique and comfortable, Well appointed, and just so much fun to stay in. The grounds are beautiful and the wildlife, so abundant, is very interesting to watch.

Room Tip: Cottage 21 is our favorite. It is closest to the elk pens.

The only good things I can say about this motel is - it is clean & the people are nice.

The daily rate is $58 which is wonderful - but - we stayed and extra night which was a Friday night and the rate skyrocketed to over $109 even though the posted rate on the website is $89.
I'm going to ask for a refund.

The continental breakfast consisted of only orange juice, coffee and packaged muffins/pastries. No place to sit, no microwave to warm things in. We had to take it to our room to eat. Ironically the cinnamon roll package had "Try me warm" written on it.

Room Tip: I've said it all - stay somewhere else
