My mother, brother, and I stopped in at Sammy's after visiting a relative in the nearby hospital. It was a little before the dinner rush, but we were welcomed. My 45 year old brother is autistic, and he makes a mess, but our waitress, Lucy, treated him with respect, something that we don't always enjoy. Being from New Mexico, I am a snob when it comes to Mexican food, and I had come to the opinion that one just couldn't get good Mexican food in Texas, having been disappointed many times before. But we thought we'd give Sammy's a try since it was handy. I had Tacos Carbon, mom had enchiladas and "puffy" tacos. My brother had a smothered beef burrito. RIQUISIMO! The prices were reasonable, the restaurant spotless, the service terrific and polite, the food plentiful and delish!
