“Quite Upscale Dining”
Reviewed 30 October 2013

We went here to celebrate a friend and it was perfect. The atmosphere was quite and private. The food was good, but a little expensive. Their patio area looked awesome and if it hadn't been cold we definitely would have sat out there. The staff was nice and even adjusted the lighting for us, so we could get a good picture.

“Poor Service”
Reviewed 27 October 2013

Nice place that didn't quite live up to its billing...really nice hostess couldn't make up for poor, ill-timed service by our server who seemed distracted; she basically ignored us after we ordered. Our initial drink order took forever and we were never asked if we would like a 2nd ( we would have ), really long wait for dinner which arrived with no flourish whatsoever ( excellent steak for my husband but small, overcooked shrimp for me ) and then a really long wait for our ticket.
Poor service and presentation kills it for us...we won't return.

“Overpriced little selection”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

Second time there this weekend, ate there in the spring.
Very nice place, with that being said. Had a 8 oz.filet might have been 4 oz, for $33.00
Salad was $8. Not even 1 chicken dish on very limited menu. If I remember right there were only 7 entries on the menu

“Great place to celebrate a birthday”
Reviewed 7 October 2013 via mobile

We went to Navajo Grill for my mom's birthday. We made a reservation for 6pm. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived, though a few other tables were filled. Our waiter was very competent and went out of his way to ask the chief about dishes that posed problems for my grandma's food intolerances. I started with the field salad. Crisp mix greens with a house vinaigrette and fresh chopped pecans. I ordered the duck for my entree and it was out of this world!! The flavor combinations of the duck with the sour cherry sauce and garlic lime kale an wild rice were brilliant. So delicious that I forgot to take a picture. For dessert we shared a piece of lemon pie. The lemon was zesty and tart and the brûlée topping was unexpected. Great food and a lovely evening out.

“Fine Dining in Fredericksburg”
Reviewed 5 October 2013

Navajo Grill was the perfect choice for my wife's birthday dinner. We arrived early for our reservation but we're seated without delay. Excellent wine and a martini served in a chilled and frosted glass heightened our anticipation for a great dining experience; we were not disappointed. Miguel, our waiter and server, was solicitous and attentive. Specials were presented on a card making it convenient to choose between those items and selections on the menu. Throughout the meal all staff were most pleasant; everyone approached our table with a smile.

The food was perfect - excellently prepared and beautifully presented. The roasted beet salad was fresh and colorful with surprisingly delicate flavors. Crab cakes were delicious and served with capers, chopped red onions, sliced cherry tomatoes, and remoulade sauce artfully arranged on a large white platter. The lemon snapper was the best fish my wife ever ate! Yes, in landlocked Fredericksburg, Texas. The snapper offered a generous potion of moist, flakey, mildly-flavored fish, a complete surprise. The duck breast was tender and complemented by kale and a rice with cherries, the best duck breast I ever ate! We had to complete our meals with dessert. New Orleans bread pudding and the perfectly flavored chocolate chipotle tart provided perfect endings to our dining experience, yes, fine dining experience.

We highly and withou reservation, recommend the Navajo Grill.
