“Memorable and sweet!”
Reviewed 13 April 2013

The Hoffman Haus is so special in every way! To stay in a cozy Sunday haus and receive a home cooked breakfast delivered to your door in am in a basket is one of my most memorable experiences I have ever had traveling. My husband and i went to bike and to see the bluebonnets in bloom in Texas! The bluebonnets were in full bloom and stunning, but the Hoffman haus made our experience even more special. In fact, it was a highlight. The owners and everyone we met were so kind and helpful. We received a warm welcome and wonderful hospitality.. Architecturally, the Hoffman haus is a real treat in a truly authentic setting. It is romantic, cozy and you feel like you had a true Texas German Sunday Haus experience in a wonderful and quaint historical town. Savor each moment, sit on your porch, sip your coffee and enjoy! This is a piece of heaven!

Room Tip: All are wonderful!

We stayed at Hoffman Haus on the weekend of April 6-7, 2013 for our annual fraternity reunion. Almost everyone stays at HH every year. All of the rooms were great (very spacious, clean, well-appointed with high end American amenities) furnished with hill country antiques. The in-room breakfast and Sunday breakfast brunch were excellent. The hosts are extremely friendly and accomodating. This property has great gathering areas, both inside and out which makes it wonderful for groups such as ours that just want to relax and enjoy one another's company--very nice open porch and courtyard areas and large comfortable indoor lounge.

Location is tops with main Fredericksburg shopping area within a few blocks walk. Many Texas wine country vineyards all within driving distance. Located on the crossroads that lead to many other Texas hill country attractions.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

This was our last stop on our 5 night Texas tour. Maybe we were tired of eating out, but when we saw the Farmhouse at Hoffman Haus it really felt like home. So much so, that we didn't want to leave and just sat out on the porch in their rocking chairs, enjoying a late day cup of tea from the ample spread inside the house. Ordered in pizza instead just so we could stay longer inside the house. Very quiet, very private, very homey and luxurious all at the same time. They have retained the best of the old; bead board walls and ceiling, lots of antiques, good books on the bookshelves, and also luxurious beds, linens, towels and very updated bathrooms. Clean, clean, clean. The breakfast was delivered promptly and was excellent. Great place - like home.

We were in Fredericksburg for a wine tasting/dinner at The Grove.
We stayed at the Hoffman Haus in the new Quad section. Our room was magnificent with attention to detail present everywhere.
The beds are so cozy & comfortable!. Rooms are spacious, and there is a covered front porch with rocking chairs.
Location is great, as you can walk to almost all the downtown sights.
Our breakfast was brought to our room in a basket, by one of the very friendly staff members. Needless to say, it was delicious!
Looking forward to staying here again.

I consider myself to be somewhat of an expert on Fredericksburg as I have spent much time there over the course of my life, as well as, planned my own wedding there. In the quest for planning that momentous event, I searched high and low for the perfect accommodations and I have come to a firm conclusion that this is THE best place to stay in town!

The property itself radiates refined elegance with a touch of down home charm. I do not take being greeted in the lobby with a glass of tea, cookie, and a great big smile for granted. The staff was absolutely lovely and made it their utmost objective to see that we were comfortable. By the end of our stay, they felt like old friends. We stayed in the Alamo Room for our first wedding anniversary and we truly loved everything about it. It was cozy, romantic, spacious, clean, and well-maintained. No detail has been overlooked and this place is worth every penny!

My adult daughter and I had a nice mother-daughter weekend here in March. The property was very nice, scenic, private, but conveniently located. We stayed in Bluebonnet, which was large, tastefully decorated and comfortable -- nice bath and whirlpool tub, good bed. Main property has nice book and dvd library, both of which we used. Also we used the day spa and had very nice massages there.

The owner's restaurant and winery recommendations were excellent. This is a 5 minute drive to main street and it's very walkable as well.

Check your internet and ability to use tv/dvd player before office hours end when you check in. We had a problem with both but didn't try until later at night when no one was in the office. We likely could have called some after hours number, but didn't want to bother folks late with something that wasn't earth shattering -- it was promptly corrected the next day. Nice breakfasts delivered to your door.

Would stay there again and would absolutely recommend to a friend.

Fredericksburg has long been a favorite destination of mine for a couples get away as well as girlfriends, over the past 20 or so years I have stayed at many different B & B's. HH is my new favorite, hands down! My daughter and I stayed one night after meeting a friend in town for the day. I chose HH for this trip b/c it looked very fresh and up to date, had great reviews and a day spa. I appreciated that it was very appealing to my 22 yr. old as well as to me. We stayed in the Cottonwood and loved the sitting area, the luxurious king bed and the awesome bathroom. The breakfast was delicious, especially the veggie strudel and the scones. Don't miss the extensive movie collection! The grounds are beautiful and there are plenty of spaces to enjoy outdoors as well optimal photo backgrounds.
I will definitely be back soon and will also recommend HH to friends. Thanks for your great service and attention to detail!
