Very nice hotel - great for business traveler single traveler. The bed was extremely comfortable. I usually never sleep well the first night at any hotel, but I slept very well the entire stay. Would be even more appealing if they included breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only real negative is that the elevator music was way too loud.More
Since i had a great experience stay at the Aloft Hotel, i wanted to take the time to say Thank you very much... The Hotel & Staff was awesome... from the minute you walk in to the hotel you feel like you're in a different place. The Modern look of the hotel makes you feel like a rock star. The staff at the front desk welcome you with a smile and are eager to help you check quick & easy. The room was very spacious and cozy. Everything you need was there in the room like soap, shampoo, coffee maker w/ coffee, iron, blowdryer, 2 FREE bottle waters and even a safe to lock up your expensive belongings. Room Service was excellent. and staff was knowlegable & Great to give us directions to get to our destinations.. Overall Awesome experience... Aloft will be our place to stay when we return back to Frisco, TX. Highly recommend to everyone. Jose M.

The 3 stars is mostly because of the sleeping experience. Or lack thereof.
There was a group whooping it up fairly late at night (until about 1:00 AM) outside at the fire pit. That just happened to be fairly close to my room. One man in particular was fairly boisterous. I called down about midnight to ask about the noise and they said that they would sort it out if it went much longer. Thankfully, they must have been chased off right when I was going to sleep.
For some reason, the American hotel experience has lost the ability to block the outside light from getting inside the room. It seems to be a fairly simple task. Put something up to block the windows. Walk into the room in the middle of the day. Is any of the sunlight getting in? Go back to the drawing board and find something that does. Call the Germans!
Bed was comfortable. Not world class, but totally serviceable.
TV was alright with a good smattering of channels.
Internet was mostly good. It locked up a few times, but worked.
The shower was nice. Good water pressure and good temperature.
I didn't have much interaction with the staff. Just one call to the front desk where I was put on hold for 2 minutes. I eventually just hung up.
I could take it or leave it.
I am sorry to hear about your sleeping experience. It appears as thou our staff communicated your expectation to those around the fire pit and they were moved along as you were going to retire for the night.
The other details that you remarked about; the staff, TV channel selection, water pressure/ temp were favorable in your opinion and we are all happy to hear.
This hotel had a very upbeat modern feel, and the rooms show that as well, but without damaging the layout or the rooms space. Beds were comfortable, bathroom space was nice except the area that contained the very nice shower and toilet was only separated by a sliding door that didn't lock. There were strange cuts on the walls but not huge. The food downstairs in the lobby was very expensive and was not included in stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful in finding things to do.

My wife and I stayed here to visit family over Christmas in December 2013. The room was unique. Very Ikea feel. No closets or drawers to put stuff away. Very high ceilings to achieve that "loft" feel, but it struck me as wasted space.
Front desk staff was very courteous and friendly at all times. But this place had too many issues to overcome. We ended up checking out, getting a refund, and going to another hotel.
We, too, experience the "no hot water" issue. A very regular theme at this hotel. Stunning that it has not been fixed. Some folks in the other wing had no water.
The room was incredibly filthy. There was dust everywhere. The cleaning staff was indifferent; the ones we encountered just wanted to play with their smartphones and not do their job.
The air conditioner/heater was extremely loud. My wife could not sleep because of the noise and had to turn it off in the middle of the night.
Finally, the TV remote would become non-responsive. We had the batteries replaced, but still had the same issues - you could turn the TV on and off, but switching channels would sometimes not work, and some channels would "black out" for no reason.
My takeaway impression was that the place was constructed on the cheap (hence the crappy water heater, low quality TV, low quality climate control) and that W does not devote a lot of resources to the property.
We stayed here and I thought it was very nice. It meet all my expectations and from booking the hotel to checking out all went flawless. They have a nice breakfast bar, hot and cold food but it is intended for a on the go type of food. Would stay here again.
