For an aviation nut like me, this place is a must visit. Like a kid in a candy store, I enjoyed walking around the hanger admiring all the aircraft. The B-17 was pretty cool! All the restored aircraft there were just too cool. The staff of volunteers were very friendly and knowledgeable when it came to information about the aircraft. My wife started asking questions and one of the volunteers started walking with us telling us about the aircraft and other cool little tid-bits of history. Entry was $8 each but for an aircraft lover.....Worth it! If you are an aircraft nut, this is a must visit.
Plus your contributions help keep these planes running and allows everyone to enjoy these works art and history.

Great for those who love war airplanes. The restoration on these planes is ongoing in front of you. They offer rides on a few of them. They suffered a lot of hurricane damage and are still recovering from it. All volunteers.

This is a great museum to visit with the family when staying next door at Moody Gardens. The children enjoyed all the great looking planes and the husband enjoyed all the history behind these great planes.

Lots of prop aircraft from WWII through Vietnam. Many are in flying condition. They include a B-17, P-47, B-25, A-26, and many others. A PBY still shows some hurricane damage. Also lots of nose art and a few ground vehicles. Large gift shop and clean restrooms.
