I loved the tour and the house. It was interesting and the home was beautiful. The restoration was so well done. The family history was interesting and I loved the photos.

“Marvelous building”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2014

I did not visit the interior because picture taking is not allowed. Yo can take pictures of the outside of the building and also of the two vintage Cadillacs and the Studebaker dictator 8 found in the garage of the mansion. There is also a children's museum in the basement .

“A Visit to a Galveston Mansion”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2014

Recently 3 friends and I spent several days exploring Galveston Island. We decided to tour Moody Mansion. It is a palatial residence located on Broadway. it was been restored to reflect the late 1800's when it was built by the wealthy Moody family. It is reported to be the first home in Texas build on a steel frame It has magnificent stained glass through the house. Our tour guide was very informative about the house and the family who lived in it and their impact on Galveston society and various businesses. There are stairs to climb so if you have knee issues it might be hard to do. There is a lovely gift shop behind the mansion where you purchase your entrance ticket. It also has a couple of old cars to view as well.

“A little too long if you have little kids”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2014

Tour was 1:45 min guided tour, no photo's allowed, guide a bit of a snob. Said at least 4 times that she was a history major like we were all too dumb to understand some of what she talked about.
