“Definate stop if architecture is your thing....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2013

Great house and the tour guide had wonderful tidbits of information on the Great Storm and the day--to-day life of the people that lived there. I actually bought a book on the history of Galveston it was so fascinating....

Another beautiful historic home that has survived some horrendous hurricanes and has remained standing and intact.

“Nice Visitors Center”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2013

The Ashton Villa Mansion was not open for tours. But it's nice to walk the grounds and visit the visitor's center, which is housed inside the Ashton Villa. I also went to the Ladie's Room and that was on the back of the ground floor of the Ashton Villa. Hopefully one day I can return and it will be open for tours but they only offer tours for tour groups, I was told.

“Absolutely beautiful!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 May 2013

Take your time to enjoy this beautiful home! It's remarkable how they built such gorgeous homes in Galveston! We enjoy the tour over and over plus driving down the city streets looking at all of the colorful homes that have been updated since the last hurricane. Fun to do!
