“Definitely worth 25 min. to see this movie”
Reviewed 7 August 2013

This film is located at Pier 21 and takes you back to the storm of 1900 that devastated this city and killed 6,000. The room was completely quiet as you listen and take in the information. It's about 25 min. long and costs $6. Probably best for kids over age 10 and if they are interested in history.

“The Pirate Lafitte”
Reviewed 25 July 2013

Not a bad little show, while waiting to be seated the guy selling tickets told us how to find the historical marker located a few blocks away to help us tie the history and the movie together. Wish we had time to of watched some of the other shows offered.

If you collect those tourist pressed pennies they have a machine for The Great Storm, a 1900 hurricane that hit the area which is explained in one of the other movies offered.

“Pretty interesting”
Reviewed 23 July 2013 via mobile

Note: this is a video, not an IMAX. It provides historical background for the 1900 hurricane though it wasn't produced all that well and isn't exactly captivating. However, I think it's still worth a visit of you're in the area.

“quick look at the original Galveston”
Reviewed 21 July 2013

The Storm film explains who Galveston was before and after the 1900 storm. It is hard to imagine a city being able to rebuild and survive after such a huge loss of lives and of the town structure itself. It was an interesting.
