The property is pretty nice overall and the location is good. We were there over Spring Break (week of March 10, 2014) for an event and the hotel management just wasn't prepared for the traffic, surprising considering it's located in Galveston. By Friday and Saturday, they had run out of bottled water and most beverages at the cafe. Also, service in the cafe in the mornings for even a cup of coffee was extremely slow. I felt bad for the staff. The management of the hotel put them in a very bad position. Hopefully they will prepare better next time.

Thank you for your review. I apologize for the inconvenience of having to endure slow service. I know this experience made your stay with us less enjoyable. Recently, we have undergone a management change and as we are currently in our busy season, we are working diligently to ensure that our service is top-notch and prepared to be busy. We hope that you will return to our property to witness the changes we have made.

The hotel staff was very friendly, hotel is still new so it is very nice, like the fact that it is out a little from all the other hotels makes it more relaxing because it is quieter, would recommend this as a place to stay

Great little place to stay with an awesome pool! Friendly and courteous staff! Stayed there over mardi gras and was far enough away from the party to be enjoyable. Will definitely go back when it is warmer to enjoy that lovely pool and cabanas!

The hotel is very new and quite nice. Check-in and check-out were both quick and easy, and the hotel was able to accommodate our requests - I booked with this hotel because they have a "feather-free" option when you book on their website, which I have never seen before. (I really appreciate this option because I am extremely allergic to down/feathers, and it can be a huge hassle trying to make sure that there are no down pillows or bedding in the room.) Our room was very nice, and had a lot of space and storage. I really liked the fact that we could open the window in our room, even though we were on the top floor. The hotel was surprisingly quiet at night, and the shared pool/cabana areas were very nice.

We had a few issues that I think should be mentioned: the wi-fi signal was very weak in our room (again, we were on the top floor), and we were unable to connect to the internet using the wired data port in the room. I was not able to connect my phone to the wi-fi from my room at any point during our stay. The issue with the wi-fi can be solved by installing a repeater or signal booster on each floor.

There was also a safety issue in the bathroom. The towel rack fell off the wall when I accidentally bumped it with my elbow. When we tried to re-mount the towel rack, we discovered that the wall bracket had been bent. A past guest probably pulled on the rack or put their weight on it. The wall bracket should be replaced.

Lastly, there was a security issue that I really feel should be addressed. The back door leading from the lobby to the outdoor areas has a card reader, but the door was kept unlocked the whole time we were there, even in the middle of the night. The pool/cabana area is supposed to be completely blocked off from the parking lot, but there is a door off to the side. This door was kept open every time I saw it (again, including in the middle of the night). This means that anyone could come in from the parking lot and gain access to the hotel, possibly without being seen by the front desk. This issue needs to be addressed immediately.

All in all, our stay was enjoyable and we would stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: High floor, ask for a gulf-facing room.

Beautiful hotel on the quiet side of Galveston Island. Not on the beach portion, on the rocks. But the room was great! Loved the decor, the space, the cleanliness and the service. The lobby had places to just rest, access the computer, eat, etc. The heated pool was great! And we spent quite a bit of time out by the firepit, which I have never seen in a hotel. It was 60-70 degrees while we were here and it was perfect for being with the family by the fire. We had been traveling around TX for the week and this was by far the most comfortable bed. The only draw backs for us (couple with a teenager) was the lack of complimentary breakfast and microwave. We had a good deal during the week - such a good value. Loved the fitness room as well. Not only was the equipment a good assortment, but the space was large and looked over the pool. I got a kick out of being right next to a herd of cattle. Only in TX could I have cattle on one side and the ocean on the other!

We stayed in one of the bay view balcony rooms. Rooms was clean, view was incredible and parking was good as well. Overall a great stay. We didn't get a chance to checkout the pool area but looks nice. We will be back for sure.

Room Tip: Highly recommend getting the bay view balcony rooms.

Found this hotel right here on TripAdvisor & I have to say it's the best! Room is gorgeous (comfy bed), spacious bathroom w/tub & little fridge. Very quiet, only noise we hear is the a/c unit turning on/off & some wave crashing. The pool is amazing & heated, although it's too cold out so I haven't gotten in. Went by the gym - very nice, has dumbbells too! Starbucks/bar in the lobby is great everyone's hanging out by there. Also has a nice staff! One thing I didn't see mentioned here is that they also have a coin operated washer/dryer for gustes on the first floor.
