One of the best libraries in the area, excellent staff, an comfortable seating an well laid out books for referance. Actually I had to escape the heat, as a Senior Citizen, an felt very welcome there, my room at Four Seasons on the Gulf had multi problems with AC unit, for three days, an the manager left me too suffer the heat, but the staff at the Rosenburg let me stay in out of the weather, an helped me to do some interesting things at the same time. Lord Bless, them

This is just a public library but the top floor is a terrific museum with all sorts of information about the hurricane, Civil War, other info. Worth a visit. Go during the hot part of the day!

“Books for Sale”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 May 2012

I visited the Rosenberg Library to see their art collection, but found that the Friends of the Library have a section of books for sale. They are great prices, and we found several we really liked. The library itself is impressive, too, with lovely old furniture with carvings outside the children's area. Enjoy.

“The oldest library in Texas”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 May 2012

This library is steeped in history. The staff are helpful and the depth of material is very good for a city of only 45,000. There is an amazing area of historical archives that is available with supervision from their staff if you are into genealogy or other historical aspects of Texas.
