My husband and I and our 13 year old daughter and a friend came to Schlitterbahn June 5,2009. We had a great time. The lines were not long and we did everything. I was so glad to see you bounced back from Hurricane Ike. We had a wonderful trip there and found the park to be very clean and fun. We will be back soon.

“Simply Awesome!”

My family went to Sclitterbahn June 2009. It was awesome! Not alot of people and totally rebuilt. We spent an entire day there and had a great time! Tons of things to do and the best water rides in the business. ENJOY!

“Totally fantastic!”

We went to this Schlitterbahn yesterday, and it was awesome. The repairs from Hurricane Ike are just about done. There are a couple attractions/rides still down, but everything else is cleaned up. The "Wave Lagoon" was still out, but I can't think of anything else.

Go before the start of summer (pre-Memorial Day) for less crowds. There were virtually no lines at all, and it was a beautiful and perfect day. We never waited more than five minutes for a ride, most of the time just getting straight onto it. You may want to stretch first, though, because with less crowds, that means more times on each ride, which means more times up the stairs! Our whole family is sore and tired today, and we normally consider ourselves pretty healthy and fit people!

We felt it was cleaner than the New Braunfels location that we visited last summer. It is smaller, but our young children (7 and 8) did not mind at all, nor did my husband or I. It was nice to be able to make frequent trips back to the lockers to re-apply sunblock without having to walk a mile each time.

Our daughter is less than a quarter inch shy of the 48" line, and they were not budging on that. There were only a couple rides she wasn't able to ride. We will definitely be going back later this summer (after she's grown that 1/4") or early next summer to be able to enjoy all the rides. It was an awesome time!

At Sclitterbahn, from Hurricane Ike, it was nearly destroyed! It smelled trashy, and we weren't even 20 feet away from the entrance! Second of all, it was c-r-o-w-d-e-d! There was a huge line leading out the front door! Third, it looked very unsafe, dangerous, and rickety. The paint on everything was dull from the destruction! I have no CLUE what flew into their minds when they decided to open this trash. It looked hazardous, the lines were EXTREMELY long, and it wasn't worth it! Now I'm not dissing ALL Schlitterbahns, just this for now. Hopefully they'll make it safer. Don't go here until you hear that it's decent enough to go.

“Crowded and No Chairs”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 March 2009

Drove down from Houston today with my 13 year old daughter. We paid $50 to enter, and once we got inside learned that only 3 things were open in the entire park. There were maybe 100 chairs out, and at least 50 million people there (or so it felt like that many...) Unfortunately most of the chairs were covered by a beach towel or a t-shirt without anyone sitting in them. There were lots of people gathered at customer service asking for more chairs - and the nice but very young teenagers running the park said they were not allowed to get out more chairs. Yet they were still selling tickets and allowing even more people in the gates.

There's just no way this is remotely safe. - just too many people. There was trash every where - all over the place.
My daughter waited in one line for 25 minutes to get a soft pretzel. There was one other food counter open, but the line was wrapped around the ropes three times.

If you like long lines, standing up or sitting on concrete, and filthy trash everywhere, this is the place to waste your hard earned money.
