I booked two rooms at the Hampton for my daughter's birthday. My family was very impressed by the hotel. A clean, comfortable room, free breakfast, free wifi, and free parking are just a few of the great things about this property. It's not directly on the beach, but it's close enough that we walked. There's a Walmart across the street, which is convenient if you forget to pack any essentials. I'd definitely stay here again.

My husband and I had the very worst experience at a hotel ever while staying at this Hampton. We chose to stay at this Hampton Inn & Suites using points instead of the nicer and even less expensive Hilton Resort because of the option to have a two room suite. We were traveling with two young children so it's nice to put kids to bed and be able to stay up and watch a little TV without waking them. Immediately after seeing our two bed single room my husband went down to inquire about our two room suite that we booked. When the front desk informed him that they didn't have two room suites my husband called the diamond desk to see about moving to the Hilton Resort so we could be closer to the beach and use fewer points. The Hilton diamond desk was surprised that a Hampton Inn & Suites didn't have suites but apologized and offered to credit back the points for our stay and allow us to stay in the current room. We were pleased with the offer and happy to stay and get our vacation started after a long 4.5 hour drive. About 5 minutes after speaking to the diamond desk the front desk called our room and stated that her manager said we could not have our points back and that we should check out. My husband said it didn't matter the Hilton resort couldn't honor our points because they had already been used at check in for the Hampton and it would take two days to have the points made available again. The front desk was adamant and continued to argue that we could not get our points back and stay even though my husband assured her we were not concerned with the points that we would deal with all of that later, we were going to stay. The following morning we received two phone calls at 8:30 am waking us and our two young children up, this time from the manager herself demanding that we check out immediately. The manager sternly and rudely insisted we check out and that we could not get our points back, therefore staying for free. I was very impressed by my husbands very calm and professional manner of handling the situation saying that we were not concerned with the points we had a long drive, it was his birthday and we wanted to stay. He asked the manager why she was trying to escalate the situation and tried to get her to be reasonable. The manager at some point on the call demanded my husband come down immediately to write and sign a note stating that he would not call the diamond desk. Ridiculous! It's 8:30 in the morning my husband was awoken on his birthday early and demanded to get dressed and go down to the front desk to write a letter, immediately. When my husband finally responded with appropriate irritation she threatened to call the police. That was the last straw, we decided to pack up our things and check-out. About 15 minutes later a police officer knocked on our door. My husband opened the door with our three year old on his leg and a seven year old scared half to death to greet the officer who very kindly stated he didn't know what was going on. My husband told him we were checking out and that the lady was irrational and the officer left. We were not loud, rowdy or rude we were a family of four there for a long weekend vacation. The Diamond desk so accurately pointed out that The Hampton Inn & Suites has a 100% satisfaction guarantee- no questions asked. Ha ha what a joke! The Diamond desk made promises of making it right and were just as shocked and horrified at our experience as we were. Ultimately, Hilton did nothing more than reimburse us our points. No apology, no letter, no promise of a better experience next time. They made no attempt to make it right with us at all. My husband travels about 3 days a week for work and makes every attempt to be loyal to Hilton. He not only stays at Hilton himself but has his employees do so as well. This situation and treatment by the Hampton Inn manager was atrocious. Goodbye Hilton.
After 4 years of being Diamond members they obviously care very little for our business and their reputation. Imagine how they would treat those who are not Diamond members.

Stayed one night for Mother's day. Very clean hotel. Liked the room. Good breakfast. Quiet. Helpful people. A bit pricey. Close to the beach. Good parking. a bit close to the local WalMart - can be a pro or con as there is a fair amount of traffic all the time.

The title says it all. It wasn't terrible - but when I see so many 5 star reviews I wonder if those folks stayed at the same hotel or not?

Check in was easy; but the room was tired and felt old. The A/C couldn't keep the room very cool or take the humidity out of the air; so the tile floor at the entrance and in the bathroom area were always wet and slimy. YUK. But had a lovely view of the Walmart parking lot.

The breakfast was very basic. The tables in the eating area dirty and uncomfortable.

The staff was friendly; however when I asked if the best way to get to the cruise terminal was by cab - the front desk person said "Yes". What they failed to mention was the free shuttle. That was annoying to say the least.
