“Beautiful old square”

Reviewed 9 November 2017

Great shops around the square with many art attractions along with good food close by, antiques, wine. They also have have many music and craft events here. Family friendly.

Stopped just for the photo op. The locals didn't seem to have any idea who Three Legged Willie was, even though the museum was right there. Nice Town square.

This is an interesting little roadside attraction but to get the full story of the man they named the county after, go in the museum.

This is a statue of a three-legged former resident of Georgetown; although I'm still not sure who this Willie actually was, it seems like great fun that the city of Georgetown decided to recognize his abnormality in a statue! He must have been a character.

We visited (and shopped) the downtown area a few wks. ago and really enjoyed it.
Our 8 yr. old grand daughter wanted her pic made with ol' Willie.
Later on, we read about him on the net....interesting character.
It was fun, and we all still get a laugh out of it.
