It was a great place to relax and get away love the view we had from the Saddle House.the next time we would like to stay. In the cabin in the woods and maybe walk the trails but overall it was very enjoyable.the area was in a good location. we might bring the grandkids next time they would enjoy the animals and the trails.

This was our first time at the Country Woods Inn and it was great. We stayed in the Saddle House and it was so cute and quaint. The house was stocked with more than we expected, they thought of everything we would need. My kids could not stop talking about all the barn yard animals. When we left they said why can't we stay one more night. That says it all!

Room Tip: The Saddle House was cute and in a good location, near the playground. However, it had the laundry room attached. So it got noisy at times.

This was our 2nd visit- we just love it here. Fun walks, petting and feeding all the animals, campfires, s'mores, wading in the river and my favorite - breakfast in the barn! The kids begged to return this year, so we did!

We had a collection of five families gather and stay recently, though my husband and I have been coming for almost 10 years. There were eight boys between ages three and nine in our group, and we all had so much fun with no batteries required! It was our family's first time in the main house and I highly recommend it for groups or larger families. The farm style kitchen table sat 12, and we did crockpot potluck and ate like kinds. Thank you Helen Kerwin, for sharing your piece of heaven on earth with us all! The large firepit made for lots of fun with dessert s'mores. We did find a couple of fossils in the woods on the hill. The boulders in the river are wonderful. The petting animals are a treat (personal favorite: thing one and thing two). The walking trails are fabulous. And Randy is sweet! We'll be back again soon!

What better review can one give than to say "I would live here!". It's just perfect. You'll enjoy the quirky yet functional decor. For example, a horse bit used as a toilet paper holder, and antique farm parts used through-out the cabins.

It's beautiful and an easy walk to town for dinner or sightseeing. Oh, that reminds me! The rooms have bird watching baskets with books and binoculars which is such a great idea! Also, take a stroll along the lovely river-walk or hike up the woodsy hill.

There was a wedding scheduled for the next day so the little chapel was dressed up with candles, flower pedals on the floor, and very sweet hand-painted signs directing the way to the chapel and wishing blessings to the new couple.

This would also be a great place for a corporate retreat, music camp, spiritual renewal, family reunion, or any number of uses including a solo getaway.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. Love it, love it.

Room Tip: Rooms are either older Victorian antique, bunkhouse or rustic farm/cowboy type. If you want a modern, sleek, "Crate & Barrel" type of room you should go to San Francisco, but trust me, this place is more fun.
