The missus and I stayed here one night at the end of June. The hotel is part of the Wyndham chain, and sent an e-mail requesting my input. Very well, I clicked on the link several times, but found the following message: "Sorry! We can’t find the content you’re looking for."
The message was a reminder of the difficulty finding the hotel.
You'd think that finding a hotel at the intersection of two major highways - I-30 and the George Bush turnpike would be a snap. Well, it was, really. But I defy anyone to locate the right exit on the first try. We saw the hotel several times after several passes.
Once we found the right exit - Is this county averse to feeder roads? - we found the facilities were decent enough, if not above average. The bathroom gets a 9 because it had a hot/cold faucet, not one of those asinine stick-shift faucet handles that require engineering skills to get the temperature just right. Plus, the shower rod didn't have that bow-shape that trendy hotels have adopted, for some reason, so the door actually opened up without bouncing back.
The room also had a mini-fridge and microwave. The pillows were fluffy, and the beds were comfy. Unfortunately, the pool was closed for cleaning. All in all, I would recommend the hotel, and I would be happy to stay there again, if only I could find it.More
