We only ended up dining here because the wait at Baja (their 'sister' restaurant I've been told) was too long. The food is somewhere between good and great, but the value per portion is good. They don't speak much English so don't expect stellar customer service! But overall, I can't complain

flavorful tacos at very economical prices. Much better to go here than Baja Grill next door, for sure. El Taco H is superior value and food quality.

Taco H is the no-frills, taqueria side of a local Mexican restaurant. I first ate there with a friend who grew up in Mexico City. With six kids between us and a fondness for beers and margaritas, Taco H enabled us to have a quick, tasty dinner without going broke.

The tacos al pastor and the carnitas are excellent. The cuisine is genuine -- not tacos with lettuce. The place is self serve, so be aware that you need to go to the counter if you want anything.

Real Mexican Food and a good selection of beers and margaritas at a good price. Go next door if you want to be served.

These are small (about 6"), double tortillas that hold a meat filling of your choice - see menu. Being a pork lover, my favorite carnitas (luscious pulled pork) are flavorful and tender. The AL PASTOR has a good spice with the adobo sauce, but has been fatty on occasion. Have not tried other meats.

For $1.25/taco, you're not going to beat the value. The tacos are simply served as meat stuffed tortillas. There is a condiment stand with a number of different salsas (mild to very hot), cilantro, chopped onion, pico de gallo, jalapenos, etc. See their website for full menu including "gringo" tacos, burritos and other choices. Everything is a la carte - even the chips and excellent salsa. Pretty good guac. Soft drinks and water only.
Tip: Buy the chips and use the condiment bar for the salsa.

Order at the counter, pick up at the counter. "Dress" your tacos at the condiment bar or fill the small Solo cups w/condiments for use at the table. Seating is basic, no frill tables and chairs. Tables are "functional" with salt/pepper and a roll of papertowels. A TV is mounted above where you order.

If you're searching for full Mexican dinners, their sister restaurant, Baja Grill is next door.
