“Kids liked it but we won't be back”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014 via mobile

We took our daughter here on her birthday. Oddly we were the only ones in line on a rainy Wednesday so we waited behind a Line with the attendant until our entrance time. We then waited for the doors to open for 20 minutes to actually get in and watch the employees fail miserably on a canned speech. Once we were finally in, our kids had a blast. I will say it was probably as light if a crowd as possible and we still stood in line 20 minutes to ride the cars. The actual Lego land is small but fun for kids. The 3d movie was a hit! The 2 small rides were fun too. The rest was pretty chaotic. We watched kids beating each other over Lego wheels and other little kids attempt to sing karaoke in a broken microphone. Make sure you bring socks. Glad we can mark it off the list but this is a major tourist trap that is too much money for what it's worth. This place is in need of a major scrub down. It smells like the inside of a fast food play land.

Hi and thank you for your review.

We are very glad to hear that your children enjoyed their visit to our attraction. We are sorry to hear you had a longer than expected wait time in our admissions area.
The factory show takes only 7 minutes, so those in the pre-show area waiting for their factory show should wait no longer than 7 minutes. There is a little bit of a lag time sometimes for different instances, but we work very hard to ensure we aren't running over the 7 minute limit as to not keep our guests waiting.

Again, we are glad to hear your kids enjoyed their visit and hope to see you again soon.

“Grandson enjoyed it!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014

Book online and arrive early! Talked to them one night and was told to come back the next day and get my ticket. Went back that morning and waited in line for them to open. After 40 minutes of waiting, I was told they were sold out that morning and purchased a ticket for the following day. Came back the following day at my allotted timeslot and was showed to the line for my time. Waited and waited as they only let 40 in every 7 minutes; although, they sell more than 40 tickets for the time slots. They are all about making $$$! Once inside it is very crowded and more waiting if you want to ride the rides. The children love it, but be prepared to spend the entire day here waiting in lines.

HI and thank you for your review of our attraction.

We are sorry to hear you didn't have the positive experience we hope for.

Our admissions process has recently changed in which every guest must book a time slot. We have changed this process in the hopes of making our guests experiences better by limiting the number of people in the attraction at one time. With this process, we are also able to manage the lines that guests may see during peak times better. I can assure you we do not book more than 31 guests per time slot, though there are guests at times that visit with consignment tickets or vouchers.

We are very glad to hear that your grandson enjoyed his visit and we hope to see you again soon.

“Never again! Big waste of money!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014

I took my 3 and 5 year old granddaughters to Legoland at their request. We arrived at 11:00am, purchased "timed tickets" to enter at the first available entry time of 12:30. We returned at 12:30 only to stand in line for 45minutes before we were allowed to enter. When inside we found that the 3 year old was to small to ride the rides. We stood in line for 30 min. So that the 5 year old could drive the cars for maybe 5 mins. We found the walled off play areas for younger children to be piled high with so many blocks that you couldn't walk in them. In addition, the blocks looked unclean. The area set up to build and race cars seemed to be short of wheels! #chaos #dirty #crowded #wasteofmoney

HI and thank you for your review of our attraction.

We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your experience. We have recently changed our admissions process to where all guests coming through must book a time slot. This helps us manage how many guests are in the attraction at one time, while also minimizing the lines in our admissions area. We do understand that sometimes the Factory Show and Kingdom Quest features sometimes feel like part of the admissions process, but this not the case. We have recently changed our policy for our Kingdom Quest ride, in which guests are able to come back and re-ride this particular ride. We changed this policy in the hopes of minimizing the lines coming out of our Factory Show.

We are geared towards children ages three to 10, and while there are some things your 3 year old cannot do, he or she is able to do most things, like Kingdom Quest and our Duplo area, built specifically for children ages 2-4 in mind. There are also several other features for kids and adults of all ages and heights, including MINILAND, 4D Cinema, Build & Test and Star Was MINILAND just to name a few. We are also building a new water splash pad, Pirate Beach, that suits children of all ages.

We take your comments about the cleanliness very seriously and can assure you that this will be followed up on.

Again, we are very sorry to hear your didn't enjoy your experience, but hope to see you again soon.

“Great for young kiddos and Lego fans!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014

My seven year olds can't get enough!! A few fun rides, 4D movies, a climbing structure, and of course Legos....tons of Legos. I think my boys could spend all day designing race cars and testing them out on the tracks. A mini City area with many of the Dallas landmarks built with Legos. A nice little area for the younger kiddos too with very big Lego and soft bricks as well as Duplo blocks. Cafe is not bad, and (of course) a well stocked gift store. They are also opening a Splash Adventure area this August.

“Chaos at a premium price”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014

We were pretty disappointed in the LegoLand Discovery Center. The prices are high - like an amusement park - and the activities are pretty limited. The 3 step entrance process is ridiculous. Once you finally make it inside, there are a couple of rides, a movie theater, a play area (think McDonalds) for big kids and a separate one for smaller kids, a display area, and a building area. Ultimately, it was a lot all crammed into a tight space, with a ceiling to make it the noisiest, too. Chaos. My 5 yr old has just as much fun building at home. My 11 yr old was bored in an hour, and my 2 yr old played on the slide like she does at McDonalds. Complete waste of money for our family. Not to mention the full retail prices of the Lego store.

HI and thank you for your comments about our attraction.

We are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your experience as much as we would have liked for you to.

Our admissions process only consists of the admissions area. Once inside to the Factory Show and Kingdom's Quest, you are experiencing a small part of the attraction. We do understand, especially during our peak times, that this sometimes makes our guests feel like they are waiting in a line longer than expected. We are doing our best to address this as quickly as possible.

We are an attraction geared towards three to 10 year old's and encourage our guests to read the attractions page on our website to help manage expectations.

Again, we apologize for any negative experiences you may have had, but hope to see you again soon.
