Cantina Laredo is one of mine and my wife's favorite restaurants. Love the salsa, the table side guacamole, and the margaritas. We try to go to Cantina Laredo often as the food in great. In addition, I believe that the training program at Cantina Laredo must be quite good as the service we receive is always impeccable.

I look forward to going back!

In North Texas, you can throw a rock and hit at least three TexMex restaurants. So if you are going to compete in this area, you gotta bring something different to the table.

Cantina Laredo (the second Tex-Mex place in this location) is a more upscale version of the typical restaurant. But it doesn't make you feel unwelcome. Quite the opposite, it attracts diners of all types.

There is a small bar off to the right as you walk in, but it doesn't spill over into the dining area. Rather, the center of attention is the open kitchen where you can see the chefs at work.

Menu options range from standard fare (tacos, tortilla soup, fajitas) to so aspirational choices. Guacamole can be prepared tableside - good for larger parties. Cantina Laredo is also one of the few places offering weekend brunch.

One minor complaint - they used to serve Mexican coffee (brewed with cinnamon). That has since changed to regular coffee. You can order it with cinnamon added, but its not the same. Cantina Laredo should return to their Mexican coffee roots.

A "cup" of Tortilla Soup is actually a large bowl with large chunks of tender chicken in a delicious tomato-based broth. Very satisfying. It was my favorite part of the meal. The food was all pretty tasty, but that soup was so delicious! I have never ordered the "bowl" but the cup portion is almost a meal by itself.
