Non-smoking room and bathroom clean; absent of any unpleasant scent. Bed comfy and heater very efficient--only needed to run about 4 hours during 2 night stay with cold nights and mornings . Amenities adequate and working; plenty of immediate hot water. No problem with the internet. TV old fashioned with not many channels. Walls very thin--normal voice tones and snoring can be heard. Continental breakfast very scant--they probably don't try hard since Denny's is in walking distance. Other alternative food choices includes Buc-ee's at the 362 exit which has everything from bbq to salads, fresh fruit, and homemade baked goods. The grocery store Brookshire Brothers near 1488 and old business 290 has the best fried chicken and chocolate chip cookies. Overall would stay again.

This hotel was clean, not dusty in the corners, smelled fresh and the staff was attentive, non-intrusive, and helpful. I would not hesitate to suggest this hotel for a short stay and would stay here again.

We had two rooms here for a night. Management was attentive and polite, very nice. Asked for, and received non-smoking rooms. Rooms were fine- a very minor musty smell from the AC unit but that is hard to avoid in many parts of Texas. Beds and bathroom clean and comfortable. I also really appreciate that our two rooms were right together, not always the case at other motels/hotel. Nice motel and perfect for our trip to the Texas Renaissance Festival the next day.

While it wasn't the Hilton, we really enjoyed our brief stay. The front desk was very accommodating when we didn't arrive until 1am. The room and specifically the bathroom were very clean. The beds were comfortable. Sonic was conveniently within walking distance too.

We would definitely stay here again if we're passing through!

We stayed at the hotel in Hempstead, Texas. Management was great! Made sure we were pleased with room and assured us that if there was anything we needed to let him know. The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if in the area. We were their visiting our granddaughter who attends Prairie View A&M which was only 4 miles away.

We stayed at the hotel in Hempstead, TX. The people were so friendly and Harry Patel made me feel like I was family. The rooms were spacious and most importantly clean. I booked the room 2 hours before we arrived and they were able to accommodate us. The rate was so reasonable.

I would recommend anyone visiting that area to stay at Americas Best Value Inn.

Room Tip: Ask for Harry, he'll take care of you.

Room 202 was not bad. It had recently been painted (okay, so what if they didn't bother removing the electrical outlet plates before painting?) and it was clean. The internet worked well and the management was accommodating. The fridge was bigger than the usual small fridge. There was a microwave and an older RCA TV in the room, but I didn't use these. And the price was right. Carpet needs to be replaced. The little sofa was not inviting to sit on, but was a good place to set my suitcase. The towels cracked me up: One was so thin and old that it wouldn't have even made the ragbag at my house! Breakfast included Fruit Loops, Raisin Bran, make-your-own waffles, a few bagels, slices of white bread, and donuts, and some small, ripe bananas (slim pickins). Bed was old, but okay. Pillows were not so great: one hard foam thing, two old ones, and one moderately new, but low-quality one. I did end up with a crick in my neck and could really hear the noise from 290 in the morning. But for the price and location relative to my trip, it was okay.

Room Tip: Nonsmoking rooms are upstairs and there is no elevator.
