“Great hotel and wonderful value for money.”
Reviewed 11 April 2012

My husband travels to Houston every month for business and has stayed here a number of times. He really loves this hotel so I was interested to see how I would enjoy it when travelling with him. The hotel is very clean, and decorated in a very contempory style, which is very pleasing. The rooms were of a good size and extremely well appointed with a full kitchenette and everything you would need as either a business or leisure traveller. The bed was very comfortable except for the pillows, which resembled blamanche! The rain shower was wonderful, and I like the eco elements in the room, such as the dispensing shower and shampoo bottles instead of the small individual bottles you usually get.
We were on a ground floor room overlooking the pool, and I notice that some other reviewers found this noisey, but we did not have a problem with this, perhaps because it was midweek and the schools were not on vacation. The hotel is in a very quiet location.
The happy hour at night was fabulous, and the first night we were there they were serving fabulous hotdogs with potato salad and lots of dressings, all for free. Breakfast is also free and the staff were doing a wonderful job of making sure the breakfast area remained well stocked and clean.
My husband had told me how friendly the staff were, and he was right. They were all extremely friendly. My only slight problem was with the free shuttle bus, but that was sorted out very quickly. Please check that it really is available for the times you need it if you want to use the shuttle. The hotel is less than 10 minutes from the Willowbrook Mall, which is a really good place to shop, and within walking distance there is a really lovely up market shopping area with great resturants.
I cant wait to get back down to Houston again, and I will be very happy to stay at this hotel again.

The Element is a very nice hotel with great beds, a nice pool & fitness center and a very good breakfast. That being said, the employees could be a little more outgoing and the telephone system could be improved as it continually tells you that "long distance charges apply" when you're making local calls.

My daughter was married locally recently, and about 50 out of town guests stayed at the Element. We heard nothing but positive reviews of the rooms, the lobby for gathering, and the fresh breakfasts. The Element provided shuttle vans to the wedding at no charge. This is the second time we have had wedding guests stay at the Element, and both experiences were great. Overall we were very pleased with the service and hospitality provided by the Element.

I stayed at the Element during the last week of February and I enjoyed my stay. The hotel was spotless and smelled very cleaned. I enjoyed my studio suite. The room was absolutely perfect. I love how it is secluded but yet in area with great food and shopping. The only issues that I had was the walls are too thin so I can hear people walking and talking, the blind shades weren't dark enough, and the AC was extremely loud but everything else was great. I would stay again.

I stayed here 2-11-2012 til 2-12-2012. From check in to check out it was nice. I love the shower. It's like a little apartment with the convience of a stove, full size fridge, cookware everything you need. It is a non smoking hotel which i truly enjoyed. The breakfast in the morning was light but fulfilling. We got to check out at2 pm which was also nice to sleep in a little late.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are great

We needed a hotel fast on New Year's eve - and this one really exceeded expectations! The room was $99 and spacious with a full kitchenette, modern and clean lines, and super bathroom with rainhead shower. Being a tree hugger myself, I appreciated the little things they did to promote a "green" experience, from the drought-tolerant landscaping to energy-efficient lightbulbs in the room. They were also very welcoming of our pooch! This hotel is clearly set up well for the business traveller, with hdmi connections so that your laptop can be projected through the flat-screen TV, but I'd stay here in a heartbeat even on a pleasure trip. The breakfast is also worth mentioning - far superior than other continental breakfasts I have had. 5 stars all round.
