This is one of my favorite places to eat in the Galleria area. I like the Dim Sum. The atmosphere is very relaxing and has a nice romantic ambiance. This is a great place.

“Brunch ”
Reviewed 10 November 2013 via mobile

We went here for brunch this weekend with a few friends. We all had the dumpling. This on the surface is a good deal but the overall quality of the dumplings is fair. Few were really nice some tasted like they were packaged/frozen.
The service started wells, however after a short while the service as non existent

Not sure I will be back to this place any time soon. China town next time

“Unique Asian”

The best Hong Kong Fried rice, it is a meal itself, best I have ever had anywhere. The Shu Mai is a favorite, I order it as soon as I sit down, no matter what.

“Dark but trendy, over-priced, horrible service”
Reviewed 5 October 2013

I thought the restaurant was closed b/c there are no lights at the entrance. Then when you come in & are not greeted by the lifeless hostess standing in the dark either, you start to have second thoughts...

Pros:
-trendy hipster atmosphere & music inside
-tasty whole fried fish fillet $32
-Peking duck is good $32. I've tried lots of Peking duck, even the ones in Beijing. This can't compare of course, but it was still good
-in the Galleria so you can walk off all the bad food you just ate b/c you paid so much money for it that you feel bad wasting it

Cons:
-way overpriced for the quality & service: $175 for 4 adults, 1 small child

-fire cracker prawns about $30 which were drenched in generic, Chinese buffet grade, red, sweet & sour sauce w/chili. "Buffet grade sweet & sour sauce." Yes, I think that killed the prawns.

-the worst scallops I've ever tasted: hot & sour scallops $29: nice large scallops, but the taste was ruined b/c the scallops tasted like pure salt. It was served with this sauce that is similar to hot & sour soup with mushroom & bamboo shoots, but it wasn't hot at all, just sour, & served already cold. The taste was just off.

-and the WORST? I've never been to a restaurant where the hostess does not even greet you. Even McDonald's train their staff to say hello & goodbye & smile. The hostess here looked as if she hated her job & was living such a horrible life that her face was totally emotionless the whole time we were there. She talked in this low, monotonous, raspy tone, never smiled once, or even attempted to pretend she even cares about the customers. When leaving, she walked right past us, not even bothering to step to the side like normal employees do to let the customers pass by, obviously showing no courtesy, totally ignoring us, where as normal places would generally say thank you.

Our waiter was not very friendly either & never bothered to introduce himself when he came.

Snobby dining experience? Definitely.

I've been to lots of even much more expensive restaurants, very snobby, but excellent food...that's why they are snobby. But sorry, Gigi's, your food & service is definitely not worth it.

At least the bathroom is clean though.

“Delicious food, beautiful decor, and worst service ever”

Loved the private dining experience. Everything that we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. Our waiter was very inattentive....we will try again in the event that the others are better.
