Must See! Highly Recommended! The King Tut exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston. If you miss this, it is a once in a lifetime experience. After April, the artifacts return to Egypt for good. That is a long boat ride to see history, art, sculptures, jewelry and the geneology study of the boy king.

We went to the art museum and science museum and found both to have a large variety of wonderful displays. I look forward to going back.

As a member, if you join at Patron level, it provides a wonderful social life, revolving around gorgeous art. Take time to also attend some of the films and free lectures.

I've visited the MFAH at least 4 times, over the course of probably 3 years. They always have beautiful pieces in their temporary displays, as well as their permanent pieces. It's a really lovely setting, in the part of the city with nice tree-lined walkways, and safe areas to park the car. Perfect for a quiet morning or afternoon by yourself to just walk or sit and peruse.
