We visited this restaurant twice in the past two weeks. We loved the decoration and the setup - big rustic tables in the middle, regular tables on the sides. It also has a few additional tables up the stairs at the end. The only con was that the A/C was set to freezing, both times we were there; the second time they lowered it a bit upon request; still, I would recommend bringing a sweater. Valet parking is complimentary.
In terms of food we highly recommend: croquetas de gambas (prawns), escalopas al azafrán (sea scallops), solomillo con setas silvestres (usda prime tenderloin with mushrooms), albóndigas (meat/pork meatballs), tortilla de patatas (potato quiche), and the patatas bravas (spicy potatoes). We did not care much for the calamari, or the fried eggplant. The ‘impossible cake,’ a mix of chocolate cake and flan was absolutely delicious. Food quality was great and prices were reasonable. Portion sizes were perfect.
Service was very friendly, professional and attentive, both times. There are some items on the menu that have similar names so ensure you state the full name to avoid confusion, e.g. we had ordered asparagus with tomatoes, and we got asparagus with mushrooms instead, and instead of tortilla de chorizo we got the tortilla de papa. We realized this later on and we didn’t mind the change much so we didn’t point it out. So, make sure you state the full name of the item. Also the second time we had to wait for the food a bit longer than usual - but I guess that’s a good sign of freshness.
We highly recommend this restaurant, and we will visit it more often.
