I generally stay here for two nights once a year for an annual event. This isn't a cookie-cutter hotel which is nice. The lobby isn't large and can get very congested when the hotel is busy but there is ample room for socializing on the second floor in the bar and meeting room area. The rooms are adequately sized and nicely appointed. I find the hotel guest rooms to be pretty quiet even though you are in downtown. There are many good restaurants within walking distance nearby as well as reasonably close access to the baseball stadium. It isn't in the flashiest part of Houston but the construction in the area says things are changing.
