This little neighborhood gem (excuse the trite expression) has incredible food. They cater beautifully and you can bring a casserole dish and they will prepare your dish. They have the best pulled pork sandwiches in all Houston but they are not a barbecue place. Their deli salads like egg, chicken and pimiento make for a difficult choice. Their Mexican food and salads are outstanding and fresh. They must have a magic chef. Service is quick, very casual and homey. Burgers and sandwiches great.. Best is chicken salad in an avocado.. But so many choices, so few days.. Free soft serve ice cream but portions are ample so only a little taste is desired. Not close by, but worth the trip but well placed for west University Place.
highly recommend for no frills fabulous breakfast lunch or dinner.

This is a relatively small establishment. Upon arriving there were a few customers seated outside on the patio. The weather was really nice and there's a park across the street. Once inside, there were a few customers seated and we were greeted by a very nice gentleman at the cash register. He inquired as to whether this was our first visit which in fact it was. We placed our orders both ordering chicken enchilades but with different toppings. I had the jalapeno white cheese sauce/flour tortilla with charro beans and spanish rice.

The meal was delicious! The tortilla was nice and soft. The chicken was tender and seasoned just right. The spanish rice was very good mixed with charro beans (I did that). They also had free ice cream. It was good and soft.

I enjoyed it and would recommend it to others. Nice relaxing atmosphere!

We met for breakfast at Edloe on our last morning in Houston. Everything looked good, so I asked the order taker to recommend his favorite. He recommended the Edloe Country Benedict ($7.49): Two homemade biscuits topped with creamy sausage gravy, two eggs, and cheddar cheese, served with a side of hashbrowns. It was all good. My friend ordered the Yogurt and Berry Parfait. We all had our breakfast delivered to the table, and she was waiting for hers. When we asked about it, the waiter directed her to pick it up out of the cooler next to the register. That was fine... we just didn't know.
