Bijan's restaurant is located conviniently on the corner of 59 fwy and Hillcroft rd.the restaurant is covered with persian artcraft and eager server to serve the customers.
the menu is very affordable which includes a plate of green vegtables , feta cheese and freshly baked bread. the rice is allways great and my favorate dish is juje kebob( marinated cornish hen). the beef kebobs on the menu have a tendency to be tough and chewy. the ground beef kebob contains few grizzles . fresh bread will be offered as time goes by. the restaurant offeres Baklava and vanilla rolletes as dessert .
fresh delicious tea is served in small glass cups which cleans the pallete.

I had dinner there last night. Despite week night the place was pretty busy. Most diners were Middle Easterns so there's a good sign food will be good. And it was. Grilled meat, rice and fresh flat bread all very delicious. The service was spotty though. Took forever to get bill and had to chase the waitress to get my AmEx back! Good portion size at reasonable prices. Will go back when I'm visiting Houston again.

i am not a big fan of persian food but Bijan changed my opinion. They have the best persian food in Houston and the ambiance on the patio is just great. You don't feel like you are in the bustling city. The food, starting from the goat cheese salad to the sheesh kebab to the baklava is pure heaven. The kebab, whether lamb or chicken just melts in your mouth. However, i hope they do something about the decor. Service is excellent.

As we entered there was smell of detergant. However the table was very dirty and i tried to clean it up with my own paper tissue. Spoon and forks were dirty and rusty, we asked for another one but it was the same! There was a table in the centrr of restuarant for waiteresses who were 5, sitinng and drinking tea. Our waiteress was mask face! Toilet was dirty. Food was not bad but you can find better quality and serviece in town. tip was included in the bill and you had no choice for the amount you indeed want to pay!!

Houston has a few Persian themed restaurants and I have been to all of them. Bijan, however, has always been my favorite. I have been coming to Bijan for almost 5 years and hopefully it will continue on. When you enter the restaurant, you are normally greeted by the courteous staff and seated and immediately you are welcomed with fresh bread with a plate of radishes, cheese cubes and mint leaves which can be refilled once finished. Coupled with the warm and toasty bread, one could truly just nibble on these starters and have their fill. The started include the usually Hummus and Baba Ganoush (Hummus being a ground chick pea concoction and Baba Ganoush being a ground chickpea and roasted eggplant mixture). You can also ask for Mast-o-Khyar which is like a Greek yogurt with cucumbers and mint a few other things. You can also nosh on this and the warm also. There are a few options for the main course, however famous dishes consist of skewered minced meat (chicken, beef or lamb) grilled to perfection over a bed of scented rice with grilled tomatoes and onions, called Kobeideh. There are also dishes that have grilled pieces of lamb, beef or chicken over the same bed of rice. If you are feeling adventurous you can try out their lamb shank and Cornish hen. Overall my favorites are the Kobeideh which I always get when I am there. I finish off my huge meal with their qahwa (green tea); drinking it Persian style (put the sugar cube in your mouth and then sip the tea instead of putting the sugar cube in the tea directly).
I really like this place. They don't do a lot of embellishments, but what they are good at is serving simple, scrumptious food quickly with excellent service.
