Our family recently moved back to the city so we've been letting the kids choose the order of the restaurants we re-introduce ourselves.
With dozens of favorites we did not expect them to choose the Cleburne, a little of a trek 25 minutes away.
It is still spotless. The food, still delicious. Never that "it's been here all day taste."
If you are new to it:
Dishes like chicken fried steak, liver and onions, and chicken and dumplings can easily be split between two hungry adults.
This applies to dessert as well.
The lower scores for service were for the rude lady at the takeout desk and the young lady in the restroom on her cell phone.
It was probably her break. But still.
It also took forever for the drink cart to circulate.
But all in all, great, fresh grub.
