“Okay food. Unfriendly atmosphere”
Reviewed 24 September 2012 via mobile

We walked in and were the only ones in the restaurant. The owner Eli was standing in the front watching the Texans football while his mother was smoking the hookah. We ordered the starter plate which was decent. But then the waiter began to sweep all around us... I believe this is the poorest of service when restaurants' staff begin.cleaning and especially sweeping while their patrons eat. It is not only annoying but also unhealthy as they kick all the dust and dirt in the air and unto the food.

I will not return and I certainly don't recommend it. There are way too many better Lebanese and Middle Eastern restaurants in the area to chose from and be able to avoid this one.

“Excellent Lebanese food”
Reviewed 28 July 2012

In the shadow of The Galleria, this place has the feel of a neighborhood restaurant. The food is consistently fresh, well-prepared, and inexpensive.

My wife and I on a recent visit ordered a sampler plate which included, if memory serves me right, kibbeh, tabouleh, hummus, babaganouj, something that looks like a spinach empanada, and something else. We also ordered the lima beans and the Lebanese moussaka, which is nothing like the Greek version, but still delicious. A complimentary appetizer, but you must request it, is the pickled turnips, and it is delicious. We had all of the above with iced tea, and the total with gratuity was less than $40.

Atmosphere is nothing special, but you're not paying for fancy atmosphere--just for good food.

“Grossly overpriced mediocre food.”
Reviewed 28 March 2012

Went there and ordered their "best" sandwich for lunch. The owner told me that the original chicken kabobs sandwich was the best.

Paid $10.07 including tax at lunch. Did not get a drink. The food the came out was basically a chicken shawarma with fries.

The chicken was swimming in mayonayse with some pickles. The fries were the frozen kind. Extremely bland and tasteless! There are at least amazing shawarma places within 5 miles of here. It's the same kind of food done properly. Cafe Layal, Ranoush, Shawarma King (Amazing food!), Jerusalam, just to name a few.

Save your money and go elsewhere. Free amazing coffee here, but not worth the bad food.

“Lebanese food, Very nice.”
Reviewed 30 July 2011

Some reviewers knock this place because of the prices. They are a touch higher than the competitors but this isn't just some schwarma joint. The fish is excellent and I strongly suggest that you have one of the specials of the day. Try the wonderful flaky cheese puff appetizers and the tabouleh. I have had tabouleh elsewhere that tasted like grass clippings. This place was great.
