We booked a room through Hotels .com that guaranteed 2 queen beds. We were told upon arrival that they only had a king bed. This was unacceptable since we had a 12 yr old and 10 year old with us. We explained that 4 of us could not sleep in 1 bed. The clerk said there was nothing she could do. We had her call the general manager. He asked her how we booked the room and when she told him Hotels.com he said that he would try to get us a refund the next day but since we didn't book through them there was nothing else they could do. This was crazy. They had no roll a way and would not give us an additional room. We sat in the lobby and called Hotels.com. They proceeded to call the front desk while we stood there. After much arguing at 9pm Hotel Indigo gave us an upgraded room which had 2 queen beds. 30 minutes before they had said to us that they had NO rooms with 2 beds. I'm not sure what Hotels.com did to explain to Hotel Indigo what guaranteed reservation and customer service means....but kudos to Hotel.com and.........to Hotel Indigo

Thank you for your feedback within your review. Actually, the General Manager do remember speaking with you as you stated. Yes, your room was reserved via Hotels.com and the hotel did have your room available. However, prior to your arrival, your booking reservation fail to indicate how many people was in your party. Yes, the hotel was sold out in your arrival date. The kudos should be going to Maria (Desk Agent) as she upgraded your stay to accommodate you and your party while this affected another guest's reservation. This was the positive customer service Maria had given you, in which you failed to comment within your review. Thank you! S.Bowden

Nice property in a great location, easily within walking distance of the Galleria. Great little lobby with unique islandy details. Friendly and helpful front desk and lounge staff. I found every area of the hotel that I visited to be clean, modern and comfortable with a fun vibe that is carried into the room decor. I was totally & pleasantly surprised by the size of the room! Huge entryway with a little bar area, the bathroom was sparkly clean with a huge glass shower stall and the sleeping area was beautifully appointed with a large bed, small desk area and a cozy accent chair & ottoman. Thoughtfully aesthetic (and blue in every hue) touches throughout the room made this one of the coziest hotel rooms I've stayed in.
Service and food in the bar/lounge area was quick and friendly with our bartender, Dirk.
Great stay, great price - would stay again in a heartbeat!

Kitschy tropical colors greeted us upon arrival. Could say all the same things as others regarding rooms, but prefer to comment on staff. Carl provided chairs and personal service outside the bar area for pariah smokers such as myself - chairs, drinks, our own private patio. Dirk, the bartender, was smoothly happy, taking care instantly without being pushy. Desk staff courteous. Looking forward to our next stay. Only wish there was a pool.

Spent a very pleasent few days at the Indigo. The staff were very nice and helpful. Arrived in afternoon and made us a cup of coffee as cafe/bar was not open until later. Very good location for the Mall which was a blessing as it was freezing in Houston when we visited. Hotel very clean and comfortable. Room spacious. We would certainly use this hotel again if we ever come to Houson in the future.

Spent an overnight here early Feb 2014. It was mid-week, freezing cold and we really liked the atmosphere of the hotel.

Our room, 418, was a spacious king room with a beach-like design. Good quality furniture, all wood and nice amenities (Aveda in the bathroom and quality coffee/tea).
Bed was huge, 3 different pillows to sleep on. We had a wonderful night's sleep.
Shower was a bit funny, having no door at all and the water sprinkles everywhere. At least its not our joy to clean it up...

The only downside was internet access that only worked if you stood in the shower... or in the hallway, but not in the room. Hence no excellent overall rating.

We didn't have breakfast but really appreciated the proximity to Houston Galleria for dinner.

We'd definitely stay here again for the discounted deal we got (approx 120$ :)

Hotel has a coastal theme which is cool, vanilla fragrance blown into the lobby is good. Hallways are lovely and bright and spacious. Room looked really good but had a few areas where the attention to detail was missed. The painter had painted over the edges which looked scrappy and the laminate floor had gaps in between some of the planks. If the hotel
Is aiming at luxury clientele then they need to get these details right. As you enter the room there is a kind of kitchenette with two large cupboards and a kitchen sink. This area needs a fridge.
Free coffee in the room is good.
Our rate included breakfast which was good but you got either coffee or juice rather than both. The waitress was nice but when we called out thanks and bye to the other girl behind the counter she just stared at us.
Hotel is a really short walk to the Galleria mall in a nice business district so you feel safe.
