Were guests of dear friends last night - I had no knowledge of this amazing place before. Just came back from 2 weeks in Europe and BCN blew away any restaurant we experienced there. Everything our table of six ordered was sublime: potato appetizer, foie gras, Iberian ham, duck (amazing), cod, everything. It's expensive, but as my host proclaimed, "worth every peseta!" Amazing desserts, too!

BCN is one of the best restaurants we've ever eaten in in Houston, and we do come here quite regularly. The food is extremely well prepared (Jamon Iberico, octopus, Inerico suckling pig, sea food, etc.) with an outstanding Spanish wine list, a tasteful ambiance and truly excellent and attentive service. Many restaurants fall down on the desserts but BCN maintained their quality through the finish of the meal.

It's not inexpensive but also not over priced for the quality.

This is a truly charming and well-run restaurant serving excellent and authentic Spanish food (without Latin American influences). The acclaimed chef is from Barcelona and Paco, the manager, is always welcoming. There are many delicious dishes on the menu to choose from, too many to mention individually. However, the Potatas bravas are a must to try! There is a very impressive selection of Spanish wines. The Priorat wines are recommended, especially the 2015 Alvaro Palacios “ Les Terrasses”. The Spanish produce some great Garnacha (Grenache) wines and this is a particularly good one. The popularity of this enjoyable restaurant requires reservations. If you are concerned that you might be seated at a table too close to other tables, request a table upstairs where table placement is more spacious. BCN is a wonderful Spanish restaurant and is highly recommended!

The menu is quite intriguing, especially the Tapas, with tasty choices. Entrees tend to be pricey but still are served in small portions. Our Suckling Pig entree was delicious but for the high price on the smallish side. That said, service here is attentive, enthusiastic and top notch. The all-Spanish wine menu is interesting and covers most wine growing regions. Decent wines cannot be had for less than $90 since the mark up, we thought, tended to be on the high side.
Highly recommended for a special evening but prepared to spend ($$$).
Salud!
