I've stayed at a number of Hyatt Regency hotels and they can be hit or miss. But this one was very nice all around. The hotel was obviously not new, but they did a good job keeping it modernized and well kept.
Our room was nice with a good sized bathroom and decent sized LCD tv. It was also a good size.
The elevators were plentiful and fast with glass either overlooking the city on the outside or the large lobby/bar area in the center of the hotel.
Food options were great, from the Einstein Brothers Bagel shop to the lobby restaurant with a good happy hour to Shula's Steakhouse to a rooftop bar and lounge.
If you're in Houston for a couple days and downtown is where you want to be, this hotel would be an excellent choice.More
