The Days Inn Humble is a good place to stay for a (fairly) close, overnight airport hotel with a 24-hour shuttle and inclusive breakfast. It was clean and had a king-sized bed with lots of pillows. The price makes it an excellent value. If you arrive for a late night check-in, you will communicate with the front desk through a window. This is not a problem.
***Of special note, the shuttle is called 'Rocket' - it is NOT a Days Inn shuttle. We did not call the hotel to notify them we were ready for the shuttle. We just waited outside the terminal until one showed up (within 10 minutes). I'm not sure if that will work every time. The reason we did that was because there was a long line-up for the courtesy phones inside the terminal.
***Also note that the shuttle stops at several hotels on the way to and from the airport. On our morning shuttle back to the airport, the last hotel we stopped at had too many guests to fit on the shuttle. They were left behind. I don't know what happened to them or if it was a problem. The Days Inn seemed to be the furthest hotel from the airport which ended up being a good thing, as we were picked up first. I don't know if this is standard or whether one would encounter a problem with a full shuttle at times.
