Tonight my husband and I dined at this very cozy French restaurant in Humble, Texas. The menu is seasonal, with lots of forest offerings as well as standby's like French onion soup. Our starters were an innovative salad of field greens with a homemade pasta stuffed with goat cheese and drizzled with pomegranate vinaigrette and foie gras. Both dishes were tastefully done, and we are quite particular since we spent five years living in France! My entree, seared scallops adorned with a bacon jam were perfectly prepared. The surprise of the night was a well prepared duck dish paired with a poached pear. Mmmmmmm.... If you are looking for an especially lovely dining experience, Chez Nous is worth the drive!
