This hotel has the worst housekeeping and amenities I have ever seen. The Indian employees were rude and couldn't count the change correctly at the front desk or at their little "convenience" store that they have either. I could barely understand them and none of my calls were forwarded to my room. It seemed dangerous, there were strange people lurking everywhere, the pool was BLACK with mold and neglect. This is the worst hotel I have EVER stayed at! The only nice experience was the girl working the front desk in the morning, everyone and everything else was TERRIBLE!

The hotel is under a new management since Oct 2013 and is working hard to provide international quality. The outside swimming pool much away from the hotel building is closed with all water removed since last several months and am wondering why it is mentioned at all. All rooms are deep cleaned. Seem to be a former employees comment.

I pulled into town around midnight from Baton Rouge La and this hotel is right around the corner from my work, Atlas Van Lines. I was super tired and needed a warm bed to crash out in. I saw the sign for the hotel from the parking lot of my work and it looked like Heaven! The front desk staff are so very nice and they care about their customers. If you are in Irving Texas and you DON'T stay here, then you have to be COMPLETELY CRAZY!!!

Ok the good stuff first. Big clean rooms ( recently rennovated) for the price. The front desk staff was super friendly and very accomodating to my late check out request. Housekeeping was always on hand and also very friendly.
The downside of all of this is that its located in a veryyyy shady industrial park. There are no resturants/convient stores close by and its extrremely hard to get to unless you're from the area and know your way arond. The cops seem to camp out in the parking lot of this place on a regular basis. Two doors were kicked in by Dallas Swat durning my two week stay there. Also the police came to my room early one morning and asked about a stolen motorcycle???? To top it off an older man tried to solicate sex from me as I walked down to my car one afternoon. That was the final straw. I checked out early and went across the highway to a non gehtto place. This is NOT a place for single women to stay. If you must stay here, have a male or several people with you. It seems like this place was once very nice since its right next to Texas Stadium but somewhere along the way the neighborhood went downhill.

  • Liked — Super friendly staff and clean rooms
  • Disliked — The shady people wandering around...

Stayed there to watch a Cowboys game and had to leave within hours of check-in. The outside looked decent but the rooms were filthy and smelled heavily of smoke. The staff at the front desk could not move us to another room because there were no vacancies, understandable, but they didn't even offer to move us to the other Econolodge down the road. Ended up canceling and moving to the Marriot. Won't stay there or any Choice Hotel ever again as it wasn't the first time we have had this same problem with that line of hotels. It's true "you get what you pay for"

I stay a quite a few hotels throughout the year due to travel for business. I've stayed at many of the better known hotels as well as some mom and pop hotels. This Econo Lodge surprised me with the quality and cleanliness of the rooms, the nice decor, and the low price.

The only drawback is the initial difficulty in finding your way out of the area. The Dallas/Irving highway system can be daunting to the direction-challenged. Others will find the area centrally located to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex with quick access to all the major highways and downtown Dallas. That's a definite plus if you plan to visit numerous clients.

I dont recommend this hotel to anybody. Its convienient to texas stadium but its extremely dirty and lacking repair. The front desk people were not helpful at all. The rooms were dark, carpets filthy, bedspreads didnt even match. The shower barely had hot water and the towels were ripped. The T.V. was ancient and some channels didnt come in. Hairs in the bed and the telephone didnt dial out. We saw a drug deal happen and people were smoking in non smoking rooms. Dont stay here!
