We arrived very late at night and we had 10 people in our party. When we arrived for breakfast the next morning we were served breakfast by hired employees. The owner finally graced us with her presence half way through breakfast. After breakfast we were given a partial tour of the house. The owner would not let us upstairs as she explained that was her private quarters. I always thought a home tour included the entire house. Then IMMEDIATLY after the tour she made us go into the kitchen to "pay up" the bill. She was like a drill sargent collecting the money from us. We walked to town after that to shop. When we got back 6 hours later the owners did not offer any beverages as they could see were were very hot.
It was obvious that the owners were not very involved with running the house. Their heart was just not in it anymore. The breakfast was very bland everyday. We had grits for breakfast and after spending over $1000 dollars between the 10 of us I expected a lot better. I would not recommend this house to anyone. Don't be fooled by the owners southern accent on the phone.
