“Outstanding!”
Reviewed 30 March 2014

This is a beautiful place, wonderful rooms, inviting grounds and garden. Shirley made us two exquisite breakfasts and even cooked a chocolate sheet cake for later in the day. She knows her stuff and gave us a great tour of the house. Recommended!

“Disapointing”
Reviewed 9 February 2014

The house was lovely, but to tour was only so-so and we did not get to go all the way to the top to see the stained glass windows that the home is named for. Wish we had been informed of that when we booked the tour.

“HUGE bedroom!”
Reviewed 1 January 2014 via mobile

We stayed two nights in the Presidential Suite which was the largest room I've ever stayed in! We had a lovely comfortable huge bed, and seating area, a hot tub in the room then the ensuite with shower, there was even our very own Christmas tree. After our first breakfast we were given a tour of the main house that lasted ages and was really interesting, it's a truly beautiful house. There were a lot of train horns throughout the night but that would happen anywhere in Jefferson. Overall a lovely stay.

“A Step Back In Time”
Reviewed 28 October 2013

My wife and I have enjoyed two nights stay at this quaint establishment. Shirley and Kathy do a very good job of meeting ones personal needs within the rooms. Breakfast is a real treat, served in an unhurried fashion. The tour of this old home will take you back to a time when one enjoyed the life of family. There is copious amounts of Texas history in and all around Jefferson, Texas. I highly recommend a get away to this grand old home!!

“Beautiful Historic Home in Jefferson”
Reviewed 14 September 2013

This home was absolutely beautiful. Much to see and much history behind it. Also found out (by looking at a picture displayed in the home) that a news reporter for Channel 8 news here in Dallas, Calvert Collins, her dad owns the house.
