We were in Killeen for 7 days to visit family and stayed at another hotel.
We were unable to fly out due to weather in Dallas, and the car rental
person recommended this hotel as our 12 year old wanted a pool.
We were greeted promptly by Brenda, who was very gracious and understanding
of our dissapointment in having to stay another day in Killeen.
She checked the room before she assigned it to us and called after we unpacked
to make sure that everything was ok.
The room was very nice - with a good size fridge with freezer and a microwave and
inroom coffee.
The pool was beautiful and gratefully used.
The only thing I could ask for would be that the breakfast would go later, as we slept
past 9am. But, there is a Denny's accross the parking lot and a McDonalds accross
the road.
We also requested a little later check-out as our flight was delayed until late afternoon.
Again, we were accomodated.
I would stay at this hotel again, rather than the pricier "name brand" hotel that we had
stayed at previously.

Room Tip: I have found that if you just ask, you can usually be accomodated ....

Horrible hotel, right off the bat they had the reservation wrong, asked for a one bed for my pegnant wife and i, instead they gave us a two full size beds that were very small, unless we wanted a smoking room. Hard to understand this when the reservation was made months in advanced and asked for a one bed. The room smelled like smoke because of some vent holes in the closet and restroom, it seemed they connected with rooms that smoking was allowed. We found hair all over the white sheets, and stained shower towels, at one point when we unwrapped the bath tissue we noticed it had some kind of liquid stained, unknown from what! Room maintenace did not add soap daily and trash bags for trash. This hotel has a small pavillion with benches, and at the middle of the night people go out there and make noise and smoke, hotel staff didn't do anything about this issue. I payed about 80$ for this room, and i would never stay or recommend anyone to this place, especially when there is plenty of good hotels around. Save your money!!!!!!

Room Tip: Read reviews before booking!!!!!! Don't trust online pictures.

After staying in the Belton LQ the night before it was a bit of a let down. Same friendly folks and clean rooms but we had lots of heavy baseball equipment to lug up to the third floor using the stairs because there was no elevator. Traditional LQ breakfast no eggs or sausage like the previous location, also no washer/dryer on site but could use the fitness center across the road for free. The AARP discount and lower price was a great bargain especially with two growing boys and free breakfast. We love staying at LQ.
