“Nice European flare....quiet place to eat fine food and visit..”

I love to go to Barron's Cafe. The bread and the Tomato Bisque Soup are lovely and a favorite of mine for lunch.... and they have great salads. Try the specials when you can.....because they are....... ..well.....'special'. It's nice to have a place where you can have a nice glass of wine with your meal, and the service has always been perfect.
I've had the pastas at Barron's and I loved them.....from a tasty pasta with a bit of spiciness ....to a pasta with seafood..... all are great.
Anyway.... I recommend Barron's if you like a nice quiet ambience, a place to chat, and good food and wine.
If you like loud places with huge portions.... go on over to Papacita's Mexican Restaurant... because, Barron's has the feel of a European cafe....where people can sit comfortably with soft music and eat soups, bread, seafood, chicken, salads, pasta, steak, (sometimes Prime Rib...) etc.. for a whole hour, and enjoy the spices, the sauces, ....and actually speak to each other... : -)
I'm going there tonight with a friend to have the Snapper with Crab meat and sauce!! I'm really looking forward to it.

“Quality food, pleasant atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 July 2013

Food here has always been of great quality and had great taste. It is very quiet & peaceful to dine here. Not recommended for children. Great shopping opportunities for unusual or quaint items in the large store before or after you eat. I cannot give an "excellent" rating because food is very expensive and portions are very small.

Nice place, quiet enjoyable eating space, not too crowded, the desserts were wonderful! We were treated by friends, it is a very European type of place.

“Disappointed on Mother's Day”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 May 2013

Our party of six has made reservations for the Mother's Day buffet for several years. This year was a very disappointing experience. Our group was seated outside which was very chilly and windy. Our request for inside seating was ignored even though there were several empty tables inside that remained empty during our entire dining experience. This year's Mother's Day showed a significant decline in diners. The prime rib was cold, over cooked and extremely tough. Both desserts were not prepared on-site, lacking in presentation and quality. The waitress virtually forgot that we were there sitting in the wind and cold. The last few times that I have dined at Barron's have not measured up to their previous quality of food and service.

“High quality, low key”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 March 2013

Cafe Barron's is a wonderful restaurant.
I had the Wasabi Salmon & my wife had the Hot & Crunchy Chicken.
The food is of a high quality in that the flavors & presentation depict a simple precision which is uncomplicated yet very adventurous.
The service was also adequately precise, courteous, and conveniently attentive.
The atmosphere was just right; quiet with soft background music which is very conducive to quiet conversation over ones meal. No unwelcome distractions from the atmosphere.
The cost is on par; slightly more than, say, Red Lobster or Olive Garden but far, far greater quality all the way around.
I want to go back a get onto the chocolate & coffee.
I would certainly recommend a visit.
