We went for graduation weekend. It was busy. There was a wait but the service was great despite the crowds. We ordered everything from grilled chicken, chicken fried chicken, and steaks. The grilled chicken which I had was just plain bland. It had no flavor. Chicken fried chicken and steak were great. Fresh homemade bread was promptly served with a flavored sweet butter. Beer was ice cold. Never did get an iced tea refill. Decorations were eclectic and reminders of Lubbock's rural past. Could have done without the upside down Longhorns but otherwise a fun place.

This is the place to go for a steak. Had the honey pepper glazed tribes. Melts in your mouth. Goes really well with their Red Raider Ale. Portions are generous so you won't go away hungry. Makes the meal a good value. Gotta have a steak while in Texas and this is the place.

If you travel to Lubbock the Triple J is a must if you are craving for a steak. The place was almost full on a Monday night that tells you that the food is good. Leave room for desert.

Great atmosphere and terrific service. But the star of the show were the appetizers, the sides and the portions! If I went back, I would order just appetizers. Wontons in nachos and with queso...incredible. Sides were awesome including the garlic mushrooms and sweet potato bake. Even the bread was hot, soft and delicious. I will definitely return on my next foray into the land of the tumbleweeds...

Had a ribeye with the house's honey glaze. Can't recommend it. Wish I would have just had a grilled steak. Ordered a wedge salad, and that was fantastic! Tons of bacon, good dressing, including raisins, which I would have never thought to include in a million years. Awesome. Good micro brews, including Dragon Tounge, which was really hoppy and very nice. Service was about what you'd expect in a college town bar/restaurant: average. Friendly but a bit slow & inattentive. Recommended if you're in town, but wouldn't go out of your way to go here.
