“Great little museum for music fans”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

This center is run by the City of Lubbock and is quite well-done with Buddy Holly memorabilia, Buddy Holly music and a complete time line of his short career.

“Very Nice Small Museum”
Reviewed 9 November 2013

Those of a certain age will remember the great hits of Buddy Holly & The Crickets. Any one interested in the evolution of rock and roll will enjoy this museum. Many of the artifacts come from the family, and you feel very close to knowing how Buddy grew up in Lubbock. We especially enjoyed seeing his Fender Stratocaster. As with so many musicians we lost at a young age, what could have been from Buddy Holly will remain unknown.

“Well worth a visit, very educational but relaxed attraction!!”
Reviewed 24 October 2013

Were staying in Snyder and realized we were about 80 miles away so decided we had to make the journey to Lubbock. There is a lot of memorabilia, a museum and a small studio that repeatedly shown an informative film about the great man. His death came far too early.

“Worth the stop if you're a fan.”
Reviewed 15 October 2013 via mobile

A great career even though it lasted only 18 months. Small museum. Had a lot of information, a short film and two guitars. Go to the Silent Wings exhibit first and get half off Buddy Holly.

“Rave on!”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

We were just going to look at the Buddy Holly statue and then noticed the museum. The entry is a small fee, and the museum is interesting . The short film about Buddy Holly is really informative And the collection of stuff is pretty cool, especially his glasses which everybody, who knows Buddy Holly, will recognise. It is a little sad looking at the glasses and knowing that Buddy Holly was wearing them when he died. We got the tour of JI Alison's (cricket) house next door as well, and the guide was lovely.
The entry to this museum gives you a half price entry to the Silent Wings Museum which is amazing and WELL worth the visit.
Toilets at both establishments are so clean!!
