A must see museum if you are into rock n' roll. The Buddy Holly Center follows the short life the America's rock n' roll legend that forever changed music from big band to four guys, 3 guitars and a drum. Stop into the bookstore to buy memorabilia that you can take home and remember what music really sounds like.

I lived in Lubbock for 16 years and always enjoyed the museum especially if they had a musical event on.My son played there twice after attending guitar workshops there. This was back in about 2003.

This center is run by the City of Lubbock and is quite well-done with Buddy Holly memorabilia, Buddy Holly music and a complete time line of his short career.

Those of a certain age will remember the great hits of Buddy Holly & The Crickets. Any one interested in the evolution of rock and roll will enjoy this museum. Many of the artifacts come from the family, and you feel very close to knowing how Buddy grew up in Lubbock. We especially enjoyed seeing his Fender Stratocaster. As with so many musicians we lost at a young age, what could have been from Buddy Holly will remain unknown.
