This is an outdoor display across the streeet from the Buddy Holly Center. The Buddy Holly Center is open certain hours. This exhibit is alway open but you won't learn much about Buddy from visting this display. There is a nice statue of him but there are many power lines in the background of any pictures that you take.

The West Texas Walk of Fame features a statue of Buddy Holly and the plaques of musicals artists of this area. It's wonderful to know so many artists come from west texas such Glen D Hardin ( pianist of Elvis) or Roy Orbison etc. Don't make pictures from a distance because the background is awful, too many electricity cables. The location is along the cricket avenue just across the Buddy Holly centre.

It's an amazing tribute to both Buddy and endless number of outstanding artistes from the West Texas Area. The statue is larger than life and the plaques are very classy. Its a great place to be and the whole Depot Area is a great place.

The statue is opposite the Buddy Holly Centre, easy to get to and great to see. The statue is bigger than life sized and a fitting tribute to an amazing musician.

This was one of the places we first took our NYC visitor. He had heard of Buddy Holly and has lots of his music. He could not believe all the history located in this one spot. We will definitely hear lots of comments when he returns to NYC. Thanks for the great experience.
