“Hidden gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 March 2012

Really enjoy this small archealogical museum. It's hard to believe there's over 10,00 yrs of human history in Lubbock! Would be nice to get a little closer to dig site, but it is free and indoor exhivits are nice. Always too hot to do the trails when Ive been there. The nearby prairie dog town is pretty cool.

“When they have an event for the public, it's good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2011

They mostly do school groups for their events. But if you watch the local newspaper, you can catch them doing events for things like National Trails Days.

We went to one of their dusk tours, and saw native plants and heard about the digs, and got some astronomy info, too.

It's a nice nature facility in Lubbock.
