“very nice”

There was a barbed wire exhibit last time I was there. It was very interesting. The facility is very nice; and the outdoor part has authentic buildings that have been relocated to the location.

“Interesting Place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 November 2013

This was a great place to visit which we enjoyed very much . Coming from Scotland we found the houses interesting and some reminded us of old croft houses back home. Information about the buildings was very informative without being dull. It would be a fun place to visit with children as there is plenty of room for them to run about, we would definitely recommend it.

“Go Back to the Ranching Days in West Texas”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 November 2013

This is an interesting place to see old ranch houses, walk through them, and imagine what it might be like to live on the prairie in the old west. There is huge weather vane and some interesting memorabilia. It's a good place to have an outdoor barbeque, too!

“Step back in time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 November 2013

This is a fun and enjoyable museum that lets you explore houses and places as they would have been many years ago. Come see what dwellings would have been like if you lived 100+ years ago in Texas. They even have newer dwellings and an old railway train and other sites which help you remember the great years of the past. This is a fun place to visit any time of the year and around Christmas time the place comes alive with music, smells and living from the past. If you are in Lubbock you need to make this a place to visit.

“Interesting One Time Stop”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 October 2013

We had some down time in Lubbock and were looking for something to do. The NRHC is free admission and had some interesting artifacts and history to it. The sod houses became a little dull after the 7th or 8th one but I would definately recommend it for a one time visit.
