Owner description: Since completing a large expansion in 2014, our museum focuses on both the history of farming and the science and technology of modern agriculture. Want to learn about cotton? Exhibits take you from early hand harvesting to putting you behind the wheel of a modern cotton stripper in the Cotton Harvest Experience. You can also meet a hologram blacksmith in our shop, or talk to a farmer in the Bayer CropScience exhibit. Bring back memories as you walk through the antique tractors or swap stories with one of our volunteers. With a huge collection of antiques and machinery complimented by interactive kiosks with videos and games, there is something for everyone at the Bayer Museum of Agriculture. Plains Cotton Growers Conference Center available for rentals.

If you are into antique tractors and farm equipment , this might just be your cup of tea. It is a rather small collection, though. They are trying to get more exhibits and will expand as time goes on.

If you like old farm machinery and tractors, this is a place for you to spend an afternoon.
Go when the weather is comfortable, there is no A/C. and some of the exhibits are outside.

While we didn’t get a chance to tour the interior of this museum, it is clearly visible from the adjoining hillside upon which the American Wind Power Museum sits. From the American Wind Power Museum, I could see a multitude of antique to late 20th century farm equipment on display outside, including large harvesting equipment, tractors, and other implements. Regretfully we were running late and didn’t get to see the equipment up close, but it looks like this museum would make a great companion visit to the neighboring American Wind Power Center for those interested in agriculture, Western or farming history, or machinery.
